April continued the upward trend for stocks with all 3 major US stock exchanges finishing up without much volatility during the month. Technology stocks were particularly kind to NASDAQ, which finished up significantly. The only big swing was what was perceived as a positive sign when centrist Emmanuel Marcon was elected President of France.

The US economy continues to grow at a modest/moderate rate, with job growth, wage growth and the unemployment rate being reasonable. Business and consumer sentiment indexes show growing confidence.

Investment professionals continue to be all over the place with opinions ranging from the Bull Market has a long more way to run to a severe Bear Market is right around the corner.
