The US Stock Market Exchanges August 2021 Summary
The Stock Market Bull enjoyed great success in August, taking Week 31 3-0, getting a mixed result win in Week 32 2-1, letting The Stock Market Bear have his only 3-0 victory in Week 33, then The Stock Market Bull returning with a dominating Week 34 3-0 win. All three major US stock indices had great months with 24 new record closes established which continued to add to The Stock Market Bull’s strong showing year-to-date, and again leaves The Stock Market Bear winless on a monthly basis with no hope of taking the monthly contest in 2021. Volatility was very low with only 5 of 66 trading sessions swinging up or down at least 1%. Key drivers are continued optimism that the US economy is having a good recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, there is more opening up of society, but towards the end of August there are growing concerns that new COVID-19 variants might slow down the momentum.
