The PBR1000: The August 2014 Breaking News Recap!

ID-100274698 Exclamation Question Mark-Boians Cho Joo Young

July Ended with a Question Mark, August with an Exclamation Mark, What Will Happen in September?

By Larry C. Paxton

Compared to July’s big plummet on the last day, August featured new stock market highs as the bulls maintained their run through the end of the month. This despite some big continuing question marks on the US economy, impacts of sanctions on Russia because of their activities in the Ukraine area, and other regional problems in Iraq and Syria. There was also an earthquake that caused some damage in Napa Valley and an Iceland volcano played a small part as well to help remind us that Mother Nature does not want to be left out of the economic influence mix.
