The Week 42 News Summary: Rumors and vitriol continued with the US House Impeachment Inquiry of President Trump, which was tampered somewhat by the death of longtime Democrat leader Elijah Cummings; it appears a Brexit deal has been reached between the UK and EU, a lot of jockeying is taking place to try to get UK’s parliament to pass it this weekend. Economic growth worldwide and in the US continued to be positive, but slowing, with some of the drag being placed on the US/China trade negotiations, which appear to be making progress. General Motors and the United Auto Workers have come to an agreement after a few weeks of strikes with the UAW membership to vote on the new contract this weekend. US 3Q corporate earnings seem to be doing better than anticipated. It looked like The Stock Market Bull was going to prevail for Week 42, but The Stock Market Bear got in the ring on Friday when Boeing and Johnson & Johnson issued some bad news sending Week 42 into the books as a mixed result, 2-1 for The Stock Market Bull.
